FAQ

Everything you need to know

Is ConfessMeX really anonymous?
At app level, yes: no account system and no persistent user identity in confession records. That said, infrastructure providers can still have operational logs outside app tables.
How long do confessions last?
Normal retention is 7 days. Under storage pressure, emergency cleanup can shorten retention to keep the service available.
Can I delete my confession?
No. We do not offer user-level deletion because there is no account linkage back to a poster.
Are confessions archived by search engines or web archives?
We actively block indexing and archive bots. That reduces archival risk, but no internet platform can promise that every third-party scraper is impossible forever.
What are tags and mentions?
Tags are optional keywords. Mentions are plain text context (for example @friend). They do not send notifications or create identity links.
Can I see who posted a confession?
No. There is no account identity attached to confession records.
What happens to my IP address?
Confession records do not store poster IPs in app tables. Infrastructure-level logs can still exist outside the app database.
Can I like confessions?
Yes. Likes are anonymous and stored locally on your device, not in a server-side likes profile.
Why 7 days?
It balances visibility and minimization. Posts stay long enough to be read, then are removed to reduce long-term data accumulation.
